What is The Graph for me and you

Why do you believe in The Graph? What inspires the most?

Product / market fit. A great team with great intelligence that also works. A vibrant community. Decentralization.

Why The Graph is so important to Web3?

The Graph protocol solves a problem that hurts hundreds of developers every day. It leverages reusability and increases productivity and time to market by more than 10x. It also contributes enormously to a better user experience by dramatically increasing response times and reducing the friction of “Connect your wallet before you do anything.”

What subgraphs are most important for Web3 and why?

The next big wave of new users is here. I would say the most important SGs are the ones that help bring them into decentralized apps, starting with those that create very simple DeFi use cases like savings accounts, borrowing, lending, etc. For example: Compound v2, Maker , AAVE, etc. • It would be great to create a new subgraph that could bring them all together.
What did you learn during the curatorial program?
I have been following The Graph Protocol since ethDenver 2019, studied it and contributed. There is not much to learn from the protocol itself. However, I am amazed at the number of people interested in participating who have been able to learn and contribute. And also by The Graph team who made it possible. As I tell them, I interact with many projects and startups, however I see very few people who can execute these programs and bootstrapping mechanisms so well. Kudos to the team.

What worries you when curation starts on the mainnet?

We helped test the protocol and its cost-effectiveness during a test network. The economic protocol is not at all trivial. Indexers, delegators, subgraph creators, subgraph users — the entire ecosystem will begin to interact with these rules. As soon as The Graph Protocol Foundation begins to scale back FREE access to its hosted infrastructure, I am thrilled to see new ways for everyone involved to interact with each other. I see new companies and even DAOs emerging.

Very exciting times!
